August Summer Camp 2012

The children had a wonderful time at Summer Camp this August. They took part in lots of exciting activities that were both fun and educational. Thank you to all the children who came to camp every day, worked hard, behaved so well and earned their certificates.

We had a poetry workshop where we learned to write acrostics, haikus, cinquains and limericks.

We wrote and illustrated our very own mini-books and made our main character out of clay.

We did a Maths Trail in Howth and played on the beach.

We did Maths for Fun. Parents came in to play maths board games with us.

We did orienteering in the yard and took part in a poetry treasure hunt.

We made a collage using lots of different shapes.

We learned to look at the world with our Maths Eyes and we made some posters to help others see maths around them too.

We played drama games, told lots of jokes and made a Saint Joseph’s News show.

We also ate lots of yummy lunches and had fun playing with our friends.
