We recently had a Family Reading Breakfast in Ms. Quinlan’s and Ms. Fitzgerald’s Junior Infant Classes. Parents were invited in to the classrooms to have breakfast and read with their children.
It is important for families to read together as children’s love for books is encouraged when they see their parents reading. Breakfast is a good time to sit down together and read a book or the newspaper before you start the day. Talk to your child about what they are reading as this will help them to learn and make sense of things.
