Congratulations to the Second Classes

On Saturday the 14th May 2011, the second class children made their First Holy Communion. Congratulations to the boys and girls from rooms 6 and 7. The children were very well prepared and the church was beautifully decorated. Well done to all involved. A special word of thanks to the parents, the teachers in Saint Joseph’s National School and the Parish team. The photographer will visit the school on Tuesday for those wishing to avail of this.
On Friday, the first and third classes went to see the fun adventure film ‘Astro Boy’ in UCI. They were very well behaved and helped Astro Boy to save the world!
Last Tuesday, The West Midland Theatre Company performed the interactive comedy play “The Bluebird” for the whole school. The children thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Photographs can be viewed on our Photos page.
Next Wednesday, representatives from The Dog’s Trust will visit the school. They will teach the children about the respectful treatment of animals.
Children are working very hard and many have reached the Gold Award level for excellent behaviour. Awards will be presented at assembly this week.
